Jazz in the Treasure Valley  (Boise area)

The Boise Jazz Society ( http://boisestate.edu/music/BJS/index.html) has announced its 3-concert subscription series for the 2008/2009 season.  Their flier provides complete details on the concerts and how to subscribe, and can be viewed by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.  Individual concerts are listed on the Live Jazz Calendar page.  Also to note:  The Boise Jazz Society still has a limited number of memberships available at a two-subscription concert rate of $63.50.  Contact Mike Samball for details.

Jazz in the Magic Valley  (Twin Falls area)

Due to the recent favorable response to live jazz on Tuesday evenings, the management at Pandora's restaurant (516 Hansen) has decided to continue presenting jazz on Tuesday evenings and drummer Tony Bowler will be hosting these sessions beginning Dec. 2 from 6-8pm. These weekly sessions will not be open jams as were presented in the past, but will feature a variety of musicians from around the region.  The weekly "Jazz Tuesdays" jam sessions will resume in February, 2009.  As always, there is no cover charge so tell come on down, bring a friend and help us continue to present live jazz in Twin Falls!

Jazz in the Wood River Valley  (Sun Valley, Ketchum, Hailey area)

Watch for information here.  We're in the process of getting a Sun Valley chapter of the Idaho Jazz Society off the ground.

The annual Paul Tillotson Trio gig at the Duchin Lounge (Sun Valley Lodge) begins Dec 26, 2008, and continues Tues - Sat 4:30 - 8:30 pm until April 11, 2009.  No cover charge.  The trio inclues Paul (piano), Jeff Rew (bass), and Josh Kelly (drums).
